These are non-negotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. Four of these, Salvation, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming of Christ are considered Cardinal Doctrines which are essential to the church’s core mission of reaching the world for Christ.Download Full Statement (PDF)Assemblies Of God Statement Of Fundamental TruthsView in Spanish. The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. This Statement of Fundamental Truths is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us (i.e., that we all speak the same thing, 1 Corinthians 1:10 [KJV/NIV]; Acts 2:42 [KJV/NIV]). The phraseology employed in this Statement is not inspired nor contended for, but the truth set forth is held to be essential to a full-gospel ministry. No claim is made that it covers all Biblical truth, only that it covers our need as to these fundamental doctrines. The Scriptures InspiredThe One True GodThe Deity of the Lord Jesus ChristThe Fall of ManThe Salvation of ManThe Ordinances of the ChurchThe Baptism in the Holy SpiritThe Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy SpiritSanctificationThe Church and Its MissionThe MinistryDivine HealingThe Blessed HopeThe Millennial Reign of ChristThe Final JudgmentThe New Heavens and the New Earth(TOP)1. The Scriptures InspiredThe Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.2 Timothy 3:15-17 [KJV/NIV]1 Thessalonians 2:13 [KJV/NIV]2 Peter 1:21 [KJV/NIV](TOP)2. The One True GodThe one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.Deuteronomy 6:4 [KJV/NIV]Isaiah 43:10,11 [KJV/NIV]Matthew 28:19 [KJV/NIV]Luke 3:22 [KJV/NIV]The Adorable Godhead a. Terms DefinedThe terms “Trinity” and “persons” as related to the Godhead, while not found in the Scriptures, are words in harmony with Scripture, whereby we may convey to others our immediate understanding of the doctrine of Christ respecting the Being of God, as distinguished from “gods many and lords many.” We therefore may speak with propriety of the Lord our God who is One Lord, as a trinity or as one Being of three persons, and still be absolutely scriptural.Matthew 28:19 [KJV/NIV]2 Corinthians 13:14 [KJV/NIV]John 14:16-17 [KJV/NIV]b. Distinction and Relationship in the GodheadChrist taught a distinction of Persons in the Godhead which He expressed in specific terms of relationship, as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but that this distinction and relationship, as to its mode is inscrutable and incomprehensible, because unexplained. Luke 1:35 [KJV/NIV]1 Corinthians 1:24 [KJV/NIV]Matthew 11:25-27 [KJV/NIV]Matthew 28:19 [KJV/NIV]2 Corinthians 13:14 [KJV/NIV]1 John 1:3-4 [KJV/NIV])c. Unity of the One Being of Father, Son and Holy SpiritAccordingly, therefore, there is that in the Father which constitutes him the Father and not the Son; there is that in the Son which constitutes Him the Son and not the Father; and there is that in the Holy Spirit which constitutes Him the Holy Spirit and not either the Father or the Son. Wherefore the Father is the Begetter, the Son is the Begotten, and the Holy Spirit is the one proceeding from the Father and the Son. Therefore, because these three persons in the Godhead are in a state of unity, there is but one Lord God Almighty and His name one. John 1:18 [KJV/NIV]John 15:26 [KJV/NIV]John 17:11 [KJV/NIV]John 17:21 [KJV/NIV]Zechariah 14:9 [KJV/NIV]d. Identity and Cooperation in the GodheadThe Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are never identical as to Person; nor confused as to relation; nor divided in respect to the Godhead; nor opposed as to cooperation. The Son is in the Father and the Father is in the Son as to relationship. The Son is with the Father and the Father is with the Son, as to fellowship. The Father is not from the Son, but the Son is from the Father, as to authority. The Holy Spirit is from the Father and the Son proceeding, as to nature, relationship, cooperation and authority. Hence, neither Person in the Godhead either exists or works separately or independently of the others. John 5:17-30 [KJV/NIV]John 5:32 [KJV/NIV]John 5:37 [KJV/NIV]John 8:17,18 [KJV/NIV]e. The Title, Lord Jesus ChristThe appellation, “Lord Jesus Christ,” is a proper name. It is never applied in the New Testament, either to the Father or to the Holy Spirit. It therefore belongs exclusively to the Son of God.Romans 1:1-3 [KJV/NIV]2 John 1:3 [KJV/NIVf. The Lord Jesus Christ, God with UsThe Lord Jesus Christ, as to His divine and eternal nature, is the proper and only Begotten of the Father, but as to His human nature, He is the proper Son of Man. He is therefore, acknowledged to be both God and man; who because He is God and man is “Immanuel,” God with us. Matthew 1:23 [KJV/NIV]1 John 4:2 [KJV/NIV]1 John 4:10 [KJV/NIV]1 John 4:14 [KJV/NIV]Revelation 1:13 [KJV/NIV]Revelation 1:17 [KJV/NIV]g. The Title, Son of GodSince the name “Immanuel” embraces both God and man in the one Person, our Lord Jesus Christ, it follows that the title, Son of God, describes His proper deity, and the title, Son of Man, His proper humanity. Therefore, the title Son of God, belongs to the order of eternity, and the title, Son of Man, to the order of time. Matthew 1:21-23 [KJV/NIV]2 John 1:3 [KJV/NIV]1 John 3:8 [KJV/NIV]Hebrews 7:3 [KJV/NIV]Hebrews 1:1-13 [KJV/NIV]h. Transgression of the Doctrine of ChristWherefore, it is a transgression of the Doctrine of Christ to say that Jesus Christ derived the title, Son of God, solely from the fact of the incarnation, or because of His relation to the economy of redemption. Therefore, to deny that the Father is a real and eternal Father, and that the Son is a real and eternal Son, is a denial of the distinction and relationship in the Being of God; a denial of the Father, and the Son; and a displacement of the truth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. 2 John 1:9 [KJV/NIV]John 1:1 [KJV/NIV]John 1:2 [KJV/NIV]John 1:14 [KJV/NIV]John 1:18 [KJV/NIV]John 1:29 [KJV/NIV]John 1:49 [KJV/NIV]1 John 2:22,23 [KJV/NIV]1 John 4:1-5 [KJV/NIV]Hebrews 12:2 [KJV/NIV]i. Exaltation of Jesus Christ as LordThe Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, having by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; angels and principalities and powers having been made subject unto Him. And having been made both Lord and Christ, He sent the Holy Spirit that we, in the name of Jesus, might bow our knees and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father until the end, when the Son shall become subject to the Father that God may be all in all. Hebrews 1:3 [KJV/NIV]1 Peter 3:22 [KJV/NIV]Acts 2:32-36 [KJV/NIV]Romans 14:11 [KJV/NIV]1 Corinthians 15:24-28 [KJV/NIV]j. Equal Honor to the Father and to the SonWherefore, since the Father has delivered all judgment unto the Son, it is not only the express duty of all in heaven and on earth to bow the knee, but it is an unspeakable joy in the Holy Spirit to ascribe unto the Son all the attributes of Deity, and to give Him all honor and the glory contained in all the names and titles of the Godhead except those which express relationship (see Distinction and Relationship in the Godhead, Unity of the One Being of Father, Son and Holy Spirit , and Identity and Cooperation in the Godhead) and thus honor the Son even as we honor the Father. John 5:22,23 [KJV/NIV]1 Peter 1:8 [KJV/NIV]Revelation 5:6-14 [KJV/NIV]Philippians 2:8,9 [KJV/NIV]Revelation 7:9-10 [KJV/NIV]Revelation 4:8-11 [KJV/NIV](TOP)3. The Deity of the Lord Jesus ChristThe Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare:His virgin birth,Matthew 1:23 [KJV/NIV]Luke 1:31 [KJV/NIV]Luke 1:35 [KJV/NIV]His sinless life,Hebrews 7:26 [KJV/NIV]1 Peter 2:22 [KJV/NIV]His miracles,Acts 2:22 [KJV/NIV]Acts 10:38 [KJV/NIV]His substitutionary work on the cross,1 Corinthians 15:3 [KJV/NIV]2 Corinthians 5:21 [KJV/NIV]His bodily resurrection from the dead,Matthew 28:6 [KJV/NIV]Luke 24:39 [KJV/NIV]1 Corinthians 15:4 [KJV/NIV]His exaltation to the right hand of God.Acts 1:9 [KJV/NIV]Acts 1:11 [KJV/NIV]Acts 2:33 [KJV/NIV]Philippians 2:9-11 [KJV/NIV]Hebrews 1:3 [KJV/NIV](TOP)4. The Fall of ManMan was created good and upright; for God said, “Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness.” However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.Genesis 1:26,27 [KJV/NIV]Genesis 2:17 [KJV/NIV]Genesis 3:6 [KJV/NIV]Romans 5:12-19 [KJV/NIV](TOP)5. The Salvation of ManMan’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God.Conditions to SalvationSalvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life.Luke 24:47 [KJV/NIV]John 3:3 [KJV/NIV]Romans 10:13-15 [KJV/NIV]Ephesians 2:8 [KJV/NIV]Titus 2:11 [KJV/NIV]Titus 3:5-7 [KJV/NIV]The Evidence of SalvationThe inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit.Romans 8:16 [KJV/NIV]The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness.Ephesians 4:24 [KJV/NIV]Titus 2:12 [KJV/NIV](TOP)6. The Ordinances of the ChurchBaptism in WaterThe ordinance of baptism by immersion is commanded by the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as Saviour and Lord are to be baptized. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.Matthew 28:19 [KJV/NIV]Mark 16:16 [KJV/NIV]Acts 10:47,48 [KJV/NIV]Romans 6:4 [KJV/NIV]Holy CommunionThe Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements –bread and the fruit of the vine– is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4 [KJV/NIV]), a memorial of his suffering and death (1 Corinthians 11:26 [KJV/NIV]), and a prophecy of His second coming (1 Corinthians 11:26 [KJV/NIV]), and is enjoined on all believers “till He come!”(TOP)7. The Baptism in the Holy SpiritAll believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian Church. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry.Luke 24:49 [KJV/NIV]Acts 1:4 [KJV/NIV]Acts 1:8 [KJV/NIV]1 Corinthians 12:1-31 [KJV/NIV]This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth.Acts 8:12-17 [KJV/NIV]Acts 10:44-46 [KJV/NIV]Acts 11:14-16 [KJV/NIV]Acts 15:7-9 [KJV/NIV]With the baptism in the Holy Spirit come such experiences as:an overflowing fullness of the Spirit, John 7:37-39 [KJV/NIV], Acts 4:8 [KJV/NIV]a deepened reverence for God, Acts 2:43 [KJV/NIV], Hebrews 12:28 [KJV/NIV]an intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work, Acts 2:42 [KJV/NIV]and a more active love for Christ, for His Word and for the lost, Mark 16:20 [KJV/NIV](TOP)8. The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy SpiritThe baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance.Acts 2:4 [KJV/NIV]The speaking in tongues in this instance is the same in essence as the gift of tongues, but is different in purpose and use.1 Corinthians 12:4-10 [KJV/NIV]1 Corinthians 12:28 [KJV/NIV](TOP)9. SanctificationSanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God.Romans 12:1,2 [KJV/NIV]1 Thessalonians 5:23 [KJV/NIV]Hebrews 13:12 [KJV/NIV]The Scriptures teach a life of “holiness without which no man shall see the Lord.”Hebrews 12:14 [KJV/NIV]By the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to obey the command: “Be ye holy, for I am holy.”1 Peter 1:15,16 [KJV/NIV]Sanctification is realized in the believer by recognizing his identification with Christ in His death and resurrection, and by the faith reckoning daily upon the fact of that union, and by offering every faculty continually to the dominion of the Holy Spirit.Romans 6:1-11 [KJV/NIV]Romans 6:13 [KJV/NIV]Romans 8:1,2 [KJV/NIV]Romans 8:13 [KJV/NIV]Galatians 2:20 [KJV/NIV]Philippians 2:12,13 [KJV/NIV]1 Peter 1:5 [KJV/NIV](TOP)10. The Church and its MissionThe Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, which are written in heaven.Ephesians 1:22,23 [KJV/NIV]Ephesians 2:22 [KJV/NIV]Hebrews 12:23 [KJV/NIV]Since God’s purpose concerning man is to seek and to save that which is lost, to be worshipped by man, to build a body of believers in the image of His Son, and to demonstrate His love and compassion for all the world, the priority reason for being of the Assemblies of God as part of the Church is:To be an agency of God for evangelizing the world.Acts 1:8 [KJV/NIV]Matthew 28:19,20 [KJV/NIV]Mark 16:15,16 [KJV/NIV]To be a corporate body in which man may worship God.1 Corinthians 12:13 [KJV/NIV]To be a channel of God’s purpose to build a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son.Ephesians 4:11-16 [KJV/NIV]1 Corinthians 12:28 [KJV/NIV]1 Corinthians 14:12 [KJV/NIV]To be a people who demonstrate God’s love and compassion for all the world.Psalms 112:9 [KJV/NIV]Galatians 2:10; 6:10 [KJV/NIV]James 1:27 [KJV/NIV]The Assemblies of God exists expressly to give continuing emphasis to this reason for being in the New Testament apostolic pattern by teaching and encouraging believers to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. This experience:Enables them to evangelize in the power of the Spirit with accompanying supernatural signs.Mark 16:15-20 [KJV/NIV]Acts 4:29-31 [KJV/NIV]Hebrews 2:3,4 [KJV/NIV]Adds a necessary dimension to worshipful relationship with God.1 Corinthians 2:10-16 [KJV/NIV]1 Corinthians 12 [KJV/NIV]1 Corinthians 13 [KJV/NIV]1 Corinthians 14 [KJV/NIV]Enables them to respond to the full working of the Holy Spirit in expression of fruit and gifts and ministries as in New Testament times for the edifying of the body of Christ and care for the poor and needy of the world.Galatians 5:22-26 [KJV/NIV]Matthew 25:37-40 [KJV/NIV]Galatians 6:10 [KJV/NIV]1 Corinthians 14:12 [KJV/NIV]Ephesians 4:11,12 [KJV/NIV]1 Corinthians 12:28 [KJV/NIV]Colossians 1:29 [KJV/NIV](TOP)11. The MinistryA divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the fourfold purpose of leading the Church in:Evangelization of the world.Mark 16:15-20 [KJV/NIV]Worship of God.John 4:23,24 [KJV/NIV]Building a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son.Ephesians 4:11-16 [KJV/NIV]Meeting human need with ministries of love and compassion.Psalms 112:9 [KJV/NIV]Galatians 2:10; 6:10 [KJV/NIV]James 1:27 [KJV/NIV](TOP)12. I’m studying the BIBLE

Hello, Pastor Allen… How are you?

What are you doing?

I’m studying the BIBLE for exhortations, edifications, and comforts.

I’m seeking wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

I’m endeavoring to learn HIS Perspectives, Plans and Purposes.

I’m needing to discover HIS commands, commissions and corridors.

I’m intending to obey HIM, in my thoughts, in my words and in my deeds.

I pray this for you, “My Young Christian Friend;”

We are both healthy, wealthy, happy and well-adjusted…

I pray this for you, “My nmbnnj Christian Friend;”

To my young Friend,
To my adventurous Friend ,
To my, young, and cherished friend,

I pray this for you!

I love you perfectly and completely, my dear Friend.
I have been praying for you.

You have served the Lord valiantly…

I also continue to pray for God, in HIS wisest providence:
1> to tailor your life to reflect HIS glory,
2> to perfect your character into HIS image,
3> to utilize your unique and special gifts to HIS honor,
4> to employ you in HIS purposes throughout your whole life
miraculously weaving what becomes the tapestry of your life, and
5> to develop your full potential to fullest expression to HIS exaltation.

As you wind your way through your most delightful life
from beginnings to endings,
through all time and through all eternity,
I pray that you succeed in your endeavors to please God,
to please God with a whole heart, full of joy, love, devotion and music for HIM!
For each of the successive little journeys,
That will compound to make your big lifelong journey,
You will now become increasingly aware that HE has:
Dynamically gifted you,
Imparting multiple talents to you,
Imparted an especially delightful spirit to you.
As though in your travel cases,
Always right there when needed
You will take these along with you in this lifelong journey.

I pray for God’s warmest smiles of approval to ever be upon you.
I pray HIS most profound blessings to shine over you.
I pray HIS loving care and guidance always direct you safely and securely.
I pray, you will be aware of HIS presence
throughout your journey in this maze called life.

I pray for you,
#1That where CONATION or volition and will,
#2That where AFFECTION or emotion and feeling,
#3That where COGNITION or learning and knowing,
That these, the very essences of your soul are involved.
That you will walk confidently, #1WILLFULLY, #2KNOWINGLY, AND WITH #3FEELING,
That you live, being and doing, exactly in the center of HIS Holy will!

I pray that your growth will crescendo throughout your life,
the length of your long, wonderful, healthy, happy, and productive life,
to HIS glory!

As surely as your Bus Driver and Friend follows the maps
of the country’s highways, byways,
roadways,
and plots his course decidedly on a certain calculated plan
to arrive at each successive destination
Punctually, Preparedly, And Safely,
so too, be very studious to determine
#1where you are and
#2where you are going, and
#3where each successive destination is to be,
so that you too, will arrive at your each and final destinations
Punctually, Preparedly, And Safely.

“My Young Christian Friend”
Do not just let your life ramble and happen.
Do not let people, places, things, events and circumstances just happen.
Do intentionally make them each and everyone, to have purpose and meaning.
Do live with direction and purpose.
Do focus your energies and abilities to successive accomplishments.
Be prayerfully aggressive.
That is, take responsible command of your life.
Conscientiously submit to the challenges HE requires.
Handle the labors HE affords to you.
Lovingly live surrendered to HIS control.

Sing with HIM, sing HIS Song, sing on HIS beat and sing on HIS pitch.
Be always obedient to HIS still small voice.

Do not allow the ‘din and dong’ of life to over power HIS still small voice.
HE will never sing the same melody of the world. Neither shall you.

Refuse To Compromise On Principles And Convictions.

On The Other Hand, Study Cooperation
On All Preferences, Opinions, And Things Not Eternal.

Be Willing To Stand For The Right, Even If All Alone!

DO NOT LIVE WITH REGRETS.

Rather always practice and perform in the concerts of life, well rehearsed!
One never need be on the wrong sheet of music, beat or note.

While you still have that decision before you, whether left or right, right or wrong,
the opportunity to accept or reject,
and the privilege to say, to do or to be,
determine what is right, and live it out, reliant upon HIM.

DO NOT LIVE WITH REGRETS.
You know you will never regret making the right decisions!

Choose the right not the easy!
Choose the right not the popular!
Remember you have the freedom and power to do what is right.
Your freedom is not a right to do what you want!
But your freedom is the power to do what is right!

“My Young Christian Friend”

Do not depend on others,
When it is clear from God that HE wants you depend on HIM AND YOU!

Nevertheless, learn the wise distinction of depending on others
when it is clear from God that HE wants you to depend on HIM AND OTHERS.

Live With Conviction.
Live With Purpose.
Live With Distinction.
Refuse To Be Ordinary.
Live Challenging Your Self To Excellence!
Live With A Realization Of Your Worth In HIM!

In HIM, you alone have worth.
You are the Lord’s servant.
HE created you uniquely.

AS every other perfectly healthy, and normal individual has, so you too, have Idiosyncrasies.

Do not waste valuable time trying to erase these, “Idiosyncrasies, for they are God’s Fingerprints” on you to identify us uniquely before God.
Delight to learn God’s purposes in your idiosyncrasies.

It is not a Christian concept “to be alike to everyone else”, but to the contrary,
You are yourself unique, one-of-a-kind, wonderfully special and totally precious.
You are designed by God to be exactly alike to no other.

HE allows us to be in HIS image, and to be most like HIM, more than alike to others.

Not everyone in your life will recognize this as fact.
However, even that is OK.
To be alone right, when all others may be wrong, may seem to make you appear weird!
However, that would be weird only in the eyes of those who are wrong!
In GOD’s eyes, you would be blessed.

They may erroneously insist that you say,
do and be like them and agree with them.

Not for any reasons to be argumentative, nor disagreeable, nor abrasive,
However, for the sole purpose of thoughtfully living out HIS will…
‘Choose this day whom you will serve!’

However, you just remember, that to God,
to us and to your big circle of Friends & Family, you are yourself, unique, one-of-a-kind, very special and truly precious.

And the more unique a diamond is the more special, precious and valuable.

HE has a role, life, ministry and service for you,
and that ministry is one that is uniquely yours.
No one else could, should, or would be like you.
You are Special!
If you fail to accomplish this, HIS will for you,
then that WILL for your life will be left undone.
What GOD has entrusted to you; to say, to do, and to be,
is both your privilege and your responsibility!

These Christian A priori Assumptions are my answers to your questions and they are true, honest, and from my heart… There was a vast gulf in our communications at the very beginning.

I Assumed You Were A Christian In Love With Jesus Christ, And Living Out A True, Pure And Holy Lifestyle To Please, To Obey, And To Serve The Lord Jesus Christ!

Then our communications made it clear that I was mistaken… You must confess your sins and willful ambitions to make prevarication against the absolute Truth.

Communication between us (Between You and Me) must be predicated on JESUS CHRIST, THE WAY, THE TRUTH, &  THE LIFE,  / OR  / There shall be NO COMMUNICATION (Between You and Me)!

A Teen just asked me… Pastor Allen, what do you want to talk about?

“WOW… Wow… wow!”

I warn you Sarah Beth… “Tests, trials and temptations will come.”

My Dear Sarah Beth,

I just drove our van to the church with you, to deliver you for work, and when you disembarked you gave me one of your cute little “toodly-doodly” waves and a precious and delightful smile.  I expressed to God what a blessing you are to mom and me.  I thanked Him that we have such an excellent rapport.  However, my heart senses your heart.  You and I had sweet communion and pleasant conversation.  But even though, there was uneasiness inside of me.  I do not know that anything is remiss, and I cannot tell you more than this, but Sarah Beth I have a disquieting in my Spirit this afternoon.  And I believe that the Lord is quickening my Spirit, and therefore I feel that I must write this letter to you.  Though I am writing to you regarding absolute principles, I do not know of an immediate context, but I therefore share this with you for whenever it is most applicable in your own life and in your own opinion.  Whether this message for you is for a general or a specific application, and for now or later, only God knows, but God compels me to write these thoughts to you, today!  Do not let the message in this letter seem trite.  The urgency upon my heart now is great!

I am even moved to tears of intercession.

Listen to the wise words of your ardent father.  “Be on guard!”!  “I warn you Sarah Beth, tests, trials and temptations will come.”  For all you now know and for all you have already experienced you can and do testify with truthful and bold confidence, “I shall do, say, and be what is right!”  Therefore, so you have and so you shall!

Our God says to us, (Phil 2:12 NLT) “Dearest friends, and you Sarah Beth, you were always so careful to follow my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away you must be even more careful to put into action God’s saving work in your life, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.”  (Rom 14:4 NLT)  “Who are you to condemn God’s servants? They are responsible to the Lord; so let him tell them whether they are right or wrong. The Lord’s power will help them do as they should.”  The tests, trials, and temptations that may intersect your path as you journey are there only to test you, to try you and to prove you GOOD!

Each one of the tests, trials, and temptations is progressively tougher, steeper, deeper, and rougher.

(1 Corinthians 10:12-15 NLT)  “If you Sarah Beth, think you are standing strong, be careful, for you, too, may fall into the same sin. {13} But remember that the tests, trials and temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the tests, trials and temptations from becoming so strong that you cannot stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it. {14} So, my dear friend, and my dear daughter, flee from the worship of idols. {15} You are a reasonable person, Sarah Beth. Decide for yourself if what I am about to say is true.”

I warn you Sarah Beth… “Tests, trials and temptations will come.”

These tests, trials and temptations, are common to all, and they will happen to you. You are not immune.  But God will always make a right way of escape for you… not easy but right!

Little Darling Sarah Beth, I do not know of anything to be wrong in your life right now, or I would turn around and go right back to you.  I do not suggest that something is wrong in secret, but with this urgency in my spirit, I rather counsel you and warn you with urgency regarding life.

What yet lies in your paths out there in front of you, on yet untrodden turf can only be guessed at?  Nevertheless, there will come tests, trials and temptations… that will threaten to pull you up from your roots, or to remove violently your stable foundations, or to endeavor redirection, or to reindoctrinate you or to offer shorter detours.

However, be wise!  “Stay your course!”  Redetermine, reaffirm, and recommit to the call of God upon your life.”  The enemies delight to offer to you tempting alternatives, to the known will of God!

When you stay close to God, when you stay deep in the Word, when you stay fervent in prayer and when you stay in harmony with peers, colleagues, friends, and with the adults, counselors and tutors, you are safest.

I do not prophecy such test, trials, and temptations, but rather I warn you that some will come that will truly test you, try you and tempt you.

Your must be tested!  You must be tried!  You must be tempted!  “Tests, trials and temptations will come” and they are GOOD!  Sarah Beth, just decide, as always, before the tests, trials, and temptations come, to win with God!”

Love, LDad

I warn you Sarah Beth… “Tests, trials and temptations will come.”
